Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Returning car
Is it better to return a car rather than wait for Chrysler to reposess it? What will I still be liable for? Wife lost her job and I can't pay for house and car. Can I go to jail for not paying the balance?

Re: Returning car
It is NEVER better to return a product you can't pay for....but try to negotiate lower payments..get a few month delay and put at end...BUT if they come to pick up the product..turn it over..that could be criminal to not turn over...but you cannot go to jail for debt in the USA..unconstitutional..since 1789..negotiate friend..negotiate...but once negotiated, live up to the terms
