Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Roof Contractor
The roof on my house was damaged from the recent hurricane that hit Houston. One contractor fooled me into signing a document which stipulated that if he goes up the roof with the insurance adjuster, the insurance company would pay to replace the roof but that his company would have to do the job. I have since had other contractors come by with lower quotations for the same job. Am I obliged to go by this signed document? If I dont, he tells me that I will owe 20% of the Replacement value cost.

Call a lawyer where you live..take the document to him...it all depends on what the document says..but no work no pay usually
