Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Sales draft

I answered an ad for a car sales job. After I got a call back, I was interviewed by a 3rd party training company not the dealership. After an interview they told me I would have to pay $600 to get the training and after that I would have a job. It was all very fast and it was my first interview, he told me to give him my credit card and sign a sales draft. After I went home I found out the training company had complaints on the better business bureau, as well as ripoffs dot com. I then put a stop payment on the credit card and have been going back and forth to try and stop the payment. I did not take the class and I sent back the training material(register receipt showing it was received). Also I contacted NADA who told me they have never heard of this and was not approved, they also said that in order to get a car sales job you are not required to take a paid course. Is there anything I can do to fight this Charge.

Re: Sales draft

Stop payment on your credit card. Complain about them to the BBB and TX Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. If you need legal help, we can provide that.
