Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Satellite TV Agreement
I applied for a Satellite TV Service for 18 Months at $31.99 per month.
Three Months later, the Satellite TV Service raised the monthly rate to $34.99.
I told them that I would continue to use the service at the $31.99 I agreed to for 19 Months and continued to pay at that rate. They keep billing me at $34.99. I told them to remove it if they will not honor the original agreement.
Am I right in enforcing the original agreement, or are they right to be able to ''bate and switch'' rates any time they wish?

Re: Satellite TV Agreement
You are right. Make sure that you document the change, and your reason for refusing to pay the full billed price. Notify the company by letter, CMRRR, and copy to the AG consumer protection office and the local BBB.
