Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Right to Sell Information
If I use the internet to garner information about an individual using input boxes that they provide, can I turn around and sell that information to another company? Do I have any obligation to a person who give me any information about themself with regards to their privacy/rights?

Re: Right to Sell Information
There are some new important federal laws that regulate this type of thing, you should consult an attorney to review the matter for you before you engage in such a transaction. Additionally, there are state laws that could potentially impact your plans as well. An important question to ask yourself is whether you informed these people that you were planning to do this sort of thing before you began to gather thier information. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call my office.
