Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Senario: My rent was late because the cash payment i sent was rejected as a proper form of payment. Is this legal? can a business refuse cash as a form of payment? I thought that cash was legal tender?

If you have proof that you tried to pay with cash, then you should contest any "late fees" they try to charge you.
Your lease may have a provision that says that they don't accept cash payments (they don't trust their own employees not to be thieves). That would make it part of their contract with you.
