Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Co Signer
I co signed for my son's truck earlier this year and now he tells me he cannot pay for it. I cannot afford this either for I am on Social Security Disability Income. If I returned the truck to the dealership is this still considered a Repo and would I still be responsible? If so since I cannot afford the payment on this. And if it goes to collections can they take my trailer from me? I currently have a morgage on this and make current payments. I have nothing else that can be taken from me. I just need some help in trying to figure out my next step. I currently have all my credit cards in a credit copunsiling firm that I pay directly to them. Cna I file a bankruptcy if need be. I am writing these words for my sister in law she is the one in trouble not I. I hope to hear back so I can give her the information.

Yes, it's a repo. About the only thing you will save is the repo expense. But they can't take the trailer or the SS. don't worry about it.
