Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Store tried to attack my daughter
A male supervisor in a fabric store lunged across the check-out counter to grab my daughter's shirt collar. She was quoted a price and given a ticket reflecting the price of the fabric. The supervisor/cashier would not honor the price that was on the ticket. She refused the merchandise, but let the supervisor know that she would speak to the manager and present the ticket with the quoted price. He then proceeded to yell and lunge at her to take the ticket from her, almost reaching her shirt collar, to the point of almost flipping across the counter. There are several witnesses to this man's attack. One of the customers offered her name and number if she needed to give a statement. My daughter was so frightened by this attack. We have requested that this person resign. However, the manager says that that will not happen. Quite frankly, they appear to have no remorse for the trauma that this has caused my child. And, they obviously don't value her as a customer. She has been doing business there for years. I would like to know what can be done legally, if this national company does not respond to my complaint?

Re: Store tried to attack my daughter
You may be able to file suit against the store for assault/battery. There also may be criminal charges that could be filed. Did you speak to the police? Was your daughter injured? Has she see a doctor or a psychologist as a result of this attack? Please feel free to call me if you want to discuss this further.
