Suing an LLC that's closed their business and is in''forfeited existence'' status
A wedding reception hall under an assumed name but owned by an LLC closed their business 3 months prior to our wedding and never returned our deposit. Who do we sue now that the LLC is in ''forfeited existence'' status and has closed it's doors? Can we sue the registered agent or manager?

Sue the LLC and the owners individually. If there are any assets of the corporation left, then you can attach those. If the corporation was dissolved for certain reasons, such as failure to pay franchise taxes, the owners may have personal liablity.
