Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Suzuki Grand Vitara tire wear

I have a 2006 Grand Vitara that after 14000 miles had to have the tires replaced because the front end was badly out of alignment. Suzuki's district manager said it was not a Suzuki problem even though the realignment data showed it was very much out of spec. This could only have occurred from the fatory. I am out over $600 for the alignment and new tires.

Re: Suzuki Grand Vitara tire wear

You can file a lawsuit in small claims court and you might get a favorable response - or they could pull both guns and come out blazing. You will have to have proof that the vehicle is defective. When I do that on $1M cases, it costs me about $14-$19K to get an expert to tell the judge and jury what was wrong with the vehicle. Do you know why the vehicle chewed up your tires? Are there any defective parts remaining after the repair? Would the alignment shop testify? Would his testimony be credible after cross-exam? These are just some of the questions you will have to answer if you want to recoup your $600. If you want to discuss this further, contact me by email.
