Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Taxes on lease vehicle
My son is in the Navy. He has a lease with Honda Fin. They sent a bill for taxes on the vehicle. Vehicle register in Fa but in Texas due to divorce and I pay the note for him. He sign the form for personel use last year. Now they are sending him a bill for taxes on the vehicle. I call and inquire about the taxes and was told they since in Texas required to pay taxes on lease vehicle. I asked about form on the personel use that they told me if he had sign he wouldnot own taxes. I told them he sign it and it was mail to them. They do not have it. I fax them a copy with no response and they are still requesting payment. Do I have any recourse. My son is in Navy and in Kuwait at the time. I have a power of attorney.

Re: Taxes on lease vehicle
If the vehicle is in Texas, then the property tax has to be paid. You have his power of attorney so you have the authority to make the payment on his behalf.
