Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

ID thef t by caregiver

I have a situation where we have someone who is a care giver to my spose. She used my wies Soc. number, which she has visual access to, to buy a computer. She told my wife that she was having it shipped to our address or saty reasons. The bill came here about a week ago or 1,400.00+ The rep at the computer co. said that the 21 day period to return it is gone. the bill came to us a month after she recieved it. Don't want to be saddled with 30 payments of 40.00. The rep that spoke with us said that they couldn't change the payments over to caregiver. looking for suggestions and what kind o laws that have been broken

Thnak you

SG

Report this to the district attorney. That office will quickly tell you what laws have been broken and you can file charges at the same time.
