Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Therapist payment

I missed a counseling appointment due to a miscommunication with the counselor. She had scheduled me for one date and I thought the appointment was scheduled for the following week. Now she is trying to charge me the full amount of her hourly fee when normally I would have a paid a co-payment if I had attended the appointment. Can she legally force me to pay for the missed appointment?

Re: Therapist payment

If that is the policy of the office, for which you were notified previously either by posting in the office, or by written communication (contract, receipts, statements), then yes she can.
