Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Vehicle Title
Purchased a vehicle from a guy who said it had a clean title. Vehicle did not have a clean title. Currently still waiting for clean title and have car in my possession. I would like to know what legal action I can take to get the title. Lean holder is a credit union. I've had the car for 689 days and am charging $25 per day. Can I go to small claims court to get a court order giving me ownership because storage amount owed is greater than the value of the vehicle? Thank you in advance.

Re: Vehicle Title
It is illegal to sell a car for which you don't have title. You probably need a lawyer for this one because you want to get a judgment with the right language in it declaring you the owner of the vehicle. With that judgment, you can get title to the vehicle.I am handling two similar cases like that right now.
