Re: Does a verbal agreement tape recorded on the phone constitute a legal bindin
To prove a valid contract (oral or written) you must have an offer that was accepted. There must have been a "meeting of the minds" (or a mutual understanding and assent to the agreement) between you and the phone book company with intent that your agreement be binding. From what you have described, there does not appear to be a valid contract. However, without knowing the specific communications made during the phone conversation, it would be impossible to opine whether a contract exist.
