Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Wedding venue price change
I received an invoice for my wedding in the amount of $3,500 for venue rental, catering, etc. Three weeks before my big day, I received another invoice for the same services in the amount of $5,500. Needless to say, I will pay the full amount as it is too late to change my wedding plans. Both of the invoices were sent via email and unsigned, and a contract was never signed with the venue. Am I entitled to the price difference, and how would I go about claiming the money?
Thank you

Re: Wedding venue price change
My suggestion would be to pay it, in tangible check form, attached to a letter stating that you are paying the full amount, but consider it disputed, as you were quoted a lesser fee at the beginning of negotiations, which you accepted. After the wedding, you can sue for the difference in JP court.
