Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
two week old cadillac
I bought a cadillac cts two weeks ago but with the Easter Holidays it's really been less. I cannot drive or ride in it because I am handicapped due to three titanium rods in my back. My head hits the door everytime I get in or out causing severe pain over time. The dealersays My recourse is to buy another car and treat this car as a used car trade in. It was bought on a Smart Lease option with a down payment of $6,ooo.oo What can I do?

Regardless of how long ago you signed the contract, you signed a contract. It was your responsibility to determine if the car was appropriate to you before you signed the contract. Now, if you want to change the contract, you have to read it to see what rights you have. Probably few. Which means that if the dealer is willing to work with you, you need to negotiate the best deal you can to make that work.

Call Cadillac the manufacturer..I am 81..my neck doesn't move well and we have a 94 Fleetwood..so I tried a CTS but found I could not get in ....and so I kept my 94..with 200+miles..but call the manufacturer..if no luck..call me..I;d be glad to try to help you...though not disabled..age
has limited my ability..YOU MAY be held to the contract..BUT give Cadillac a chance..
