Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Wrong part caused demage to my car
Hello, I bought a Fram Oil filter from Oreilly's Auto parts in Garland texas and the part they gave me was too small and it leaked the oil in my car and now my motor knocks, I went back and told them that that was the wrong Oil filter but their parts computer shows that so then i asked for adifferent brand for the same car and i got the correct one, i checked other auto parts stores to see if they had the same model of Fram Oil filter but the other stores had the correct one, now my 2005 Sebring needs a new motor and i was wondering if they can be held responsible, i have print out's of they filter Oreilly's has which is the wrong part and also of other store filter who have the correct part, i dont have a lot of money and now my car is damage can i do something about it? or is it going to be one of those things where people waist their time, money and effort for nothing? please respond ASAP. thank you

If you had to buy new motor...and loss of use..ask your insurer if it will pay...and if not, ask OReilly...but you can sue in JP(small claims) for up to $10,000...and our fee would not be that large IF you have all the evidence...
