Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
My four year old son was separated from his karate class because he was acting up during the class. He was placed in a small room for 15 minutes while another instructor was supposed to work with him. Instead the instructor was dealing with a prospective client. The room has windows in it. After my son was let out of the room to rejoin the class he was in tears and thought that his mother had left him at the school. When I called to ask why this happened the instructor said that he was watching him the entire time and eventually became very rude when I pressed the issue and asked more probing questions, like why he would not let my son out to be with his mother when he started crying. He said that he was never crying or upset. I tend to believe my wife when she said that it was apparent that he had been crying for a while as his eyes were red and puffy. We have allegedly been released from our contract with this company, however, is there any legal action we can take against this instructor or the company that runs this school for the way they treated my son? Thank you.

You can sue him for intentional infliction of emotional harm. You'd need to hire an expert witness (psychologist) to prove damages.
