Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

28.99% apr

What options do I have to reduce the APR on my Discover card? I have closed the account. Seems they are really sticking it to me. Can't win for losing. Is it legal to pay 28.99%????

call the credit card company ..insist on talking to someone who could reduce your interest rate..and tell them either reduce rate or you won't pay. They can legally charge 29.99...but we have found some to accept payoffs at no interest...and some let you keep the card at reduced interest..good luck
