Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
when i was 18 years old, i got a job and opened a Chase Bank account w/ automatic overdraft and a pulse card. i lost my job however Chase bank had upgraded me without my knowledge or written consent to a credit card w/ a $5000/ limit. I was under 21 without a job and used the credit card and didnt got behind on payments then quit making them altogether. am i still liable for the bad credit that resulted from this?

Of course you are! And, if you're not, by virtue of having contracted (agreed) with Chase on the credit card when you were under age 18, then your parents are liable. Either way, you need to pay the bank.
