Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
amended answer on lawsuit
being sued;pleading sol. made a mistake; must now write defendants first amended original answer; start with gen denial. add affirmative defenses, attach exhibit, refer to it to show when bad debt was written off; show when lawsuit was filed, state sol in tx is 4yrs. Can I, if I can figure out how to word this, write it on plain paper? Don't have legal format and don't know how to word it; attorneys in my area only interested in bankruptcy, so I've had to ask for a lot of help. Don't have it anymore; all I have is word perfect office on my computer; will this be acceptable to opposing counsel? I've learned everything has to be worded ''to the letter of the law'' when my request for production was worded too broadly; so, I need to know how to word this and if I can write it on regular printing paper from my computer? thank you.

If you are in the Houston area, there are attorneys who handle these type cases. Look on the NACA.net website. You do need to put the style of the case on every pleading you file. I hope you have answered the discovery that was attached to the Plaintiff's Original Petition.

Courts in Texas use plain, letter-sized paper for all pleadings.
