Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Arbitration Claim
If a judgement is awarded against me for non payment of a a credit card debt, what can be done to recover the money?
My main concern is that I am guardian of my daughter's estate, and I'd like to know if that money can be touched.

Re: Arbitration Claim
They can't touch your daughter's estate because it's not her debt.

Only your assets can be reached. Wages cannot be garnished. Homestead is protected. They can garnish a bank account or seize any other non-exempt assets. There are many exemptions for debtors in Texas.
