If a creditor has a judgement in texas can they take money from a persons personal checking account to settle the judgement

Yes. The account can be garnisheed. Moreover, the account also pays the bank's attorney fees in answering the writ of garnishment.

Yes; in Texas bank accounts may be garnished to satisfy judgments.
