Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

auto contract

If a married couple purchased a car through a credit union, and only one was awarded the car in the divorce decree but the credit union still refused to change the loan to the awarded person because the other spouse had their own separate loan in default, can the awarded person dispute the lien and receive the title?
