My girfriend is financing a car and is behind four mo. They cld me and tld me they are reporting the car stolen because they clsd the acct. She will be arrested and everyone in the car will go to jail for theft. Can they do that?

First, they may have some issues of their own to deal with if you have some proof of the telephone call. Secondly, the Texas Penal Code Section 32.33 relates to the criminal offense of hindering a secured creditor. It may or may not be applicable to her, but she should take care of the situation.
