Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Automobile repo

I had a ford F150 repoed six years ago and now they say they are suing me and can garnish my tax returns and wages. I surrendered the truck to them in good shape. What can they do to me legally?

Re: Automobile repo

You really need to hire an attorney. The statute of limitations for suit on a debt or breach of contract is 4 years. Not only should you be able to prevail in this lawsuit, you will have grounds to file suit against them for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by filing a suit outside the statute of limitations.
