today I received a letter in the mail stating i owe 1150.00 to the apartment complex I use to reside at. I did not break my lease and followed all procedures as the contract stated. I gave the manager in verbal and in writing my 60 day notice back in jan of 06 and my lease was up in march of 06. The day I moved out i asked the manager if there was anything else that needed to be addressed and I was told that there was nothing further i was obligated to do. But this letter and the what they are billing me for states i i broke my lease and I have to pay in full within 7 days What if any avenues can I take??? Please help

You can hire an attorney, or research the law, and file your complaint with the JP having jurisdiction over your apt complex. There are very specific rules governing the conduct of apt landlords, which are contained in the Property Code. Review them -- it sounds as if you may have recourse against the landlord for your damages.
