Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Possible Bank Account Seizure

I've read that under Texas law, creditors can levy or seize bank accounts in order to satisfy a judgement in a suit and I am wondering how this might apply to a savings account that is in my son's name first (a minor), his mother's name second (but we are not married) and my name third. We have this account established for the primary purpose of a college fund. If a judgement was entered against me, would the creditor be able to seize this account although the debt in question is soley mine? If so, would removing my name from the account prevent this from happening? Please advise me of my oprtions...thank you!

Re: Possible Bank Account Seizure

If your name is anywhere on the account, then it is susceptible to seizure if they take a jdugment.
