Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Bank placed a lein on my property 10 years after car repo.

Where can I get more Information about what the laws are on a creditor/collection agency placing a lein on my property after repoing an automobile? One year after we moved to property, car was repoed. 10 years after that, bank placed a lean on property without any notification. Three years later, (now), we try to sell and find out for the first time that the lean exsists. I need more information reguarding the laws about this. Seem like there would be some statue of limitation for placing a lean, and since the land was not even ours when the automobile was first finainced, it was definnatly not in the contract.
