Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I bought a mobile home in 2001 and ended up not being able to make the payments. I called the company and advised that I would no longer be able to afford it and they could pick it up. I just received a call yesterday from a gentleman saying his client was suing me for $26,000 that was due on the loan. can they due that after this long? Also is it possible for them to have access to my banking accounts?

Sounds to me like someone might be trying to scam you on an old loan. Call his bluff and tell him to talk to your attorney.
