Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
I bought a pool 2 summer ago with the intention my daughter and son-in-law were to make the payments. The pool company holds a 2nd lein on my house. My children have since moved out and are experiencing financial difficulty and can no longer give me money to make the payments. I am am Social Security Disability and have no money left to make this payment for them. I have asked the pool company to come repossess the pool and they are telling me they do not do that. I was told this morning that they could come and take my house and sell it on the court house steps for their payment as a worst case senario. I offered to send them a small payment of whatever I could afford (which was far less than the original payment but they said they did not accept token payments. My home is Homesteaded. Where do I stand legally?

Unfortunately, the pool company seems to have legal right to payment or foreclosure...but you could protect yourself ..call us or a bankruptcy lawyer..to protect your rights..
