Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

bounced checks

My son works at a restaurant, back in

March he cashed his paycheck at a

grocery store. The check has bounced

and the restaurant has not made

good on it. A collection agency has

been harassing him and claims they

are going to file criminal charges

against him. Can they do that?

Thanks

Re: bounced checks

Based on what you have stated, the collection agency should not be harassing your son. There are specific Federal and Texas laws that govern what collection agencies can do and say, when attempting to collect a valid debt. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
