Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

car title

I had a loan on a car and a credit card at the same bank. I paid off the car but never got the title. I defaulted on the credit card loan. This has been about 3 years ago. I am selling the car now but I need the title. Can they refuse to send it since I defaulted on the credit card?

Re: car title

Probably not, but you'd have to look at the arrangement you had with the bank. You may have collateralized the credit card debt with an interest in the car without knowing it.
