how does cease and desist of calls work

I have a loan with Citifinancial. I have made my payments on time every month since I've had the loan. I just now missed one due to being in the hospital.They are calling my friends, and my mother-in-law, who is in bad health, even after I asked them not to. What can I do to make them quit? I've gotten the bill caught up, yet they insist on so called ''courtesy'' calls every month to everyone I know.

Send them a certifed letter, RRR, advising them that they are no longer to contact the following people, and include the names and contact information. Review the Texas AG website under fair collections for details.

To some extent, they are within their rights, and after a few more payments made timely, the calls would probably stop anyway.
