Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Citation

I have been served a citation by a Credit Card company for an unpaid debt from 2004. This debt was arbitrated in 2004 and I have an award in my favor. The CC company arbitrated with another arbitration company and received an award in their favor in 2005. They have now filed suit for a judgment against my property. What choices do I have at this point?

Re: Citation

Get a lawyer. You need to respond to the citation first, then see which arbitral award the court will credit.

Re: Citation

You can move for summary judgment on the basis of your arbitration award and counter claim for their efforts to collect a debt that is not owed. That will get their attention fast.
