Citibank/Coll Agcy Lawsuit?

I had a $17k CC bill that I ''inherited'' in a divorce 2 yrs ago. I had a payment plan set up w/ Citibank for a yr for $650/mo. After a yr, they said it was no longer available and my APR & mo pymt went up- almost double. Last pymt was made Jul 07. Now a collection agy is calling saying a judgment is going to be filed in the state of Tx against me. No papers yet. I'm no longer answering those calls. 2 things: what CAN they do if they file a suit and what should I do??!! I'm freaking out about all of this- don't want to lose my house, car, etc.
