Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
How to collect money from someone owes me.
I am having a problem to collect the money a company owes to me and my partners, eventhough the Judge ordered the company to return the money they owe us. The judgement is againist the owenter of the bussiness to pay our money with interest. My attorney said the other bussiness says they don't have any money and our attoney said he can't do nothing about it. What can I do, to collect our money. Our attorney is suggesting, if we wish we could find another attorney. But we spent a lot of money already with our attorney. Now he is washing his hands. Is there any body out there who can help us. Please, we need some help.

Re: How to collect money from someone owes me.
Ask your attorney if a receiver might help. Sometimes the turnover statute is a powerful tool, particularly if the judgment debtor is still in business.
The judgment means that they owe you the money as a matter of law; not that the judgment debtor is ordered to pay the money.
