a Collection agency wants to serve me papers on a repo car

The collection agency wants to garnish my wages and/or serve me papers on a repoed car that they have since sold. When the car was repoed the engine was blown in the car and we was 3 month behind. Do they have the right to make me pay the full amount of what i owed on the car

The full amount plus the costs of repo and sale, less money received at auction. And they can't garnishee your wages in Texas.
