Collection Company goes bankrupt...

Collection Company goes bankrupt, the new company has not contacted me with the ''takeover'' I been sending payments to the bankrupt company for the past 2 years. The new company has no record of me paying and since I contacted them first. I have 30 days to make payment or pay will be garnished. This new company said, last contact with ''me'' was Nov 2000. Since I been paying the bankrupt company without knowledge of their bankruptcy which have been over 2 years ago. The new company still have the total sum of money owed. In other words, no record of payment.

How did the new company contact you to tell you they were going to garnish your wages - letter or verbal? The new company may have violated federal and state collection practices laws. Contact me at 1-888-243-0560 for assistance.
