What is the best way to recover when someone stops pmt on a post-dated check after they have taken possession of the products you produced for them? (200+ hrs of sewing costumes)

mechanics lien..file affidavit in Count Clerk within 60 or 90 days, sue in small claims if less than $10,000...and collect judgment with order to pick up product..
