Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I did contract drafting work from my home in Houston, TX for a company in Arlington, TX and never received payment owed of $1500. It was someone that I've done a lot of work for and we had a verbal agreement. What recourse do I have?

call texas workforce commission which may help OR file suit in your local small claims court inHouston..which is the Justice of the Peace close to home..good luck
