Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
being taken to court, here in tx. by a lawyer hired by a bank, that we may owe money to. we are on social security , have no savings or investments, and own our home, and it is on a homestead exemption. what do they hope to gain?

You should talk to a bankruptcy attorney. They will attempt to to garnish your bank account after the get a judgment. While you may or may not be judgment proof, you should consider that some of your property may not be exempt.

A judgment in case u ever have anything..so answer the lawsuit..most are full of errors..ie penalties/interest etc are not correct..and may be late so limitations apply..call if we can help
