Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Credit Card Abuse

I was arrested for credit card abuse. I used someone elses credit card without their knowledge to purchase something from the internet. This is a felony charge. I have never been in any kind of trouble before and just made an EXTREMELY stupid mistake. Is there any way that I can get away without a felony charge on my record. Is deferred ajudication possible or anything that will not destroy my record and chance of getting jobs in the future?

Re: Credit Card Abuse

If this is your 1st offense, the DA should listen to a plea bargain for deferred IF you make restitution and pay all fees. Surely, your court appointed attorney can handle this for you.
