a credit card company has a judgment against me. I'm out of work.

Be careful. The credit card company may try to levy your bank account(s). If they do, that will "freeze" whatever money you have in your account(s) until the credit card company is paid in full - if the amount you have deposited isn't presently enough the cover the full debt amount.
