Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

credit card debt

I behind on my credit card bills so my question is can they put a lien aganist my house or can they just get a judgement aganist me.what else can they get from me.I know they can take money from my checking account what about accounts holding stocks can they take that too.if they get a judgement will it draw interest.

They can put a lien against your house, but can't force a sale of your homestead. Any accounts, other than retirement accounts, are fair game. The judgment will draw interest at the prime rate on the date of judgment.
