Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Credit Card Debt - Wife passed away

My wife passed away just recently and I have found credit cards in her name only, I never cosigned for both cards am I responsible for paying this debt. I live in texas where everything is considered joint ownership does that matter?

You need to probate her estate to clear this up...or at least call an attorney in probate. Generally such debts are hers..but would be paid by her estate..and you may or may not be wise to probate..
