Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Credit Card Late Fee
My teenager did not receive his July credit card statement. He has a $200 credit limit, and July's charges totalled $195. In August, his charges were $5.99. The credit card company is charging him a $25 late fee and a $25 overlimit fee. Is he legally responsible for paying both of these fees?

Re: Credit Card Late Fee
Assuming that he didn't pay at least the minimum in July, the answer is "yes", since he is both late in making payment and he's now over his limit.
You are responsible for your account, whether statements are sent to you or not. The statements are a courtesy and convenience, not a legal obligation.
