credit card usage rights

i offered to let someone use my credit card then decided not to.Before I could tell them no they used it without me being there,my credit card anything.Now they have refused to pay it and I'am stuck.Is it legal to use my card without me there to forge my name etc and what can I do about it now

If you gave them permission to use it, then there is no fraud. If they agreed to pay you back, you may have a contractual claim to repayment of the money they spent.
