Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Credit cards
I have lost my job and no employment. I'm living off my savings which is at the bank that I have credit cards at. Can the bank take my savings to pay for my credit cards. I really don't want to move my account because my husband has his social security deposited there.

Re: Credit cards
Normally a court judgment is required to take funds but frequently banks have language in loan instruments...ie credit cards...authorizing their taking funds on deposit...Most banks are so large they don't know who you are...so if you open an account at another bank, move your savings..it would be prudent..and you have no worry...if it is Bank of America, I guarantee they do not know who you are...
